Put in tiny back seats and I’m sold. That is, if the S-FR doesn’t make it to production.

Why bother with the tiny back seats?
My Mustang’s back seats are 100% useless.

Shove your friends back there for the across the block trips. Added utility so why not?

Ehhhhhh...on an FRS those back seats don’t hold your friends, even for a down the block drive. The utility is debatable. If my car was slightly shorter and had a liftgate and parcel shelf a la CRX it would be significantly more useful.
You can throw stuff in the back seat, sure, but not really. Where my seat is when I’m driving there’s really no gap between the door frame and the back. You’d have to tilt the seat forward to get anything other than like a jacket or purse back there, and if you do then you mess up your seating position. So to keep my seat angle intact the only real way to use the back seat as storage is to go through the passenger side, which is annoying. The trunk is more useful.

I grew up in the back seat of a GT car. It is totally fine to ride in a car while not in total comfort. Just take your shoes off and hug your knees. All good.
Okay, the back seat of a small sports car is even worse...but same idea. You can always find a way.

Not really. Hard to get comfortable or feel safe when your ear is up against the rear glass because there’s no room for your head.

I still like to see Mazda’s take on this thing.
I like Mazda’s engines / gear box better. I dont know if I trust FCA too much.
